I love to cook anything and everything under the sun but lately i am really into it i always find my self looking for new recipes and experiment stuff to cook and surprise my husband and of course me i always longed for Filipino delicacies but it is hard to find here in the States like this one... the KUTSINTA (brown rice pudding) it is one of Filipino's famous dessert and it is my favorite i swear haha! Way back in Philippines I used to watch the manong tendero every morning to pass by our house and buy. Since there's no way i can taste here the kutsinta... because i don't know where the heck to get it. So i google and found the recipe oh my gush it was so easy to make you know am happy because whenever i crave for this i will just cook!
Here's the recipe to those Filipinas who loves KUTSINTA!
1 cup rice flour
2 cups brown sugar
3 cups water
1 teaspoon lye water (you can find it at Asian store)
~ Just combined all ingredients in a bowl and steam for 30minutes or insert a toothpick in the middle u know when its done.

~ brownies with strawberry creme~
I baked some brownies because i was craving it for awhile now but doesn't have a sneak time to make one lately but can't help it anymore lol so i made the other day and i some kinda style style on it hehe! i love playing on my food i mean decorate it in some way! I did a brownie mix, then just add eggs, H20 and OiL... then the interesting part i did was the toppings, i saw food network one day and Paula dean cooked several dessert you know finger food and i thought i will make my one also which really good you know but in moderation of course! I mix for the toppings are.. cold cold cream, confectioner sugar, unflavored gelatin and a drops of strawberry syrup since i don't have any strawberry fruit that day! it was good to me but it matter most because my husband likes it! lol.
Lumpia Lumpia we all know this, its an Asian best ever food! I was craving of this for a while and i hate just to make one for me because the wrapper here is kinda weird. So 2weeks ago we went to Nashville, anyway whenever we go by Nashville i always take the advantage to pass by to the Philippine store to get some pinoy stuff. Yes indeed, i grabbed a full bag of pork/chicken lumpia a.k.a shanghai roll enough for me to last long. I still had until yesterday because hubby is not very fond of it hehe! he likes egg roll but not this kinda.
So anyways, I offered to my sissy.. why not fried it for baby shower you know a lil bit of Asian food. In my surprised they all loved my lumpia infairness... happy ang baye kunu, plus they asked what's with the sauce, is it with the lumpia?? uh uh, i made the sauce infairness... i mixed the 3kinds of dipping sauces to add extra sweet and sour spice. Lumpia is best known for finger food when you have gatherings.
We planning to go nashville next weekend maybe i will get some again.lol
Another menu in the table..haha! hubby made this pizza from scratch Friday night and it was so delish, yummy than regular pizza i think for me though! Kinda mix of Mexican Italian dual because its called chicken fajitas pizza. May fajitas kana may pizza pa! what a combination. We found the recipe courtesy of food yahoo and we thought it sound good. It's true, I love the every bite of it, because each of the ingredient blended well and create great flavor plus hubby added some more ingredients too like mushrooms, more bell peppers and more onions then the crust just cooked right! and the mushroom really add flavor you know. We love mushrooms also present on most of our dish hehe.
Actually It is so easy to prepare... try it sure you will gonna like it! Just a pre-made pizza dough, vege oil, boneless chicken, garlic powder, chili powder, onion and bell peppers, salsa, mushrooms, salt to taste and Monterrey jack cheese. That's all!
I've finally made some fried banana Que for so long i been craving it for 2years you know! this were my breakfast yesterday morning. Thankful to hubby we passed by to Chinese store at Nashville. It was Saturday, so i waited several days to ripen a little for frying! I had some left overs and i finished them today! lol. I remember when i was in pinas ohhh saging prito usually our snacks with matching ice cold coke so good talaga!
I still have one pengka left, planning to save it another day or so... want some banana Q?? tag peso lng uy!!! lol
Banana Q is the typical Filipino dessert!
